About Warrnambool Clay Target Club
Warrnambool Clay Target Club shoots down-the-line (DTL), skeet, ball trap, Compak Sporting and sporting clays at the Lake Gillear Shooting Complex, 200 Buckley's Road, Allansford, east of Warrnambool. It is a Victorian Clay Target Association club (South West Zone) under ACTA, and is affiliated with Sporting Clays Australia.
The complex, also known as the Warrnambool Target Sports Centre, is home to seven clubs including rifle clubs and Archers of Warrnambool, and was officially opened under new management in June 2022. The ground has licensed premises, a canteen, ammunition for sale, and camping and caravan sites.
Shoot days
Practice runs every Wednesday from 1pm (from 1 February) and covers ball trap, skeet, DTL and Compak Sporting.
Competition includes 50-target Compak shoots on Friday evenings from 7pm, roughly the last Friday of the month, and Saturday DTL-format shoots from 12:30pm.
