About Yackandandah Pistol Club
Yackandandah Pistol Club has shot on a three-acre ground on Sandy Gully Road since 1991. The ground is about 6 km from the centre of Yackandandah, just off the Myrtleford–Yackandandah Road.
Ranges and facilities
Three 25 metre outdoor ranges, a 50 metre range and a 16-bay indoor air pistol range. The clubhouse, opened in 2022, has a training area, a commercial kitchen and an 8 metre covered verandah. There is a large camping area, and the facilities are fully accessible.
Disciplines
The ISSF target pistol programme: 10 metre air pistol, 25 metre pistol, 25 metre centre fire pistol, 25 metre standard pistol, 25 metre rapid fire pistol and 50 metre pistol. Calibres allowed are .177 air, .22LR, .32 and .38 pistols and revolvers.
Shoot days
Matches are on Saturdays at 10am, or at other times by arrangement with the club. The club runs an annual open, the YPC Open, and coaching clinics.
Joining
Visitors can shoot under instruction up to 10 times (3 for juniors), completing a NORI form each visit; the club asks new shooters to join after three days. Juniors must be 12 to 18. A cross-border agreement with NSW Firearms lets NSW residents join. Use the enquiry button on this page or the club's website.
