About Ipswich Pistol Club

Ipswich Pistol Club, officially “Ipswich Pistol Club Inc.”, operates from its location in Karrabin, QLD.   The club fields regular IPSC Level 1 matches (first Saturday each month), and occasionally Level 2 events.   It encourages membership from both licensed and novice shooters, with safety training and induction support.   The club also runs working bees (maintenance days) on 5th Saturdays, where members receive a membership discount for participation.  

Facilities

Ipswich Pistol Club offers a variety of ranges suitable for different pistol disciplines:  

  • Range 1 – 20 m IPSC open range  
  • Range 2 – 50 m turning target range (with steel baffle protection)  
  • Range 3 – 25 m turning target range (10 bays, bullet trap & baffle protection)  
  • Range 4 & 5 – IPSC open ranges  
  • Air Pistol Shed – 10 m indoor air pistol range with motorised target system  

Social and support amenities include a climate-controlled clubhouse, conference/training rooms, kitchen, large covered outdoor area, BBQ, toilets and showers.   Overnight camping is allowed during competitions (subject to prior arrangement).
