About Geelong Sporting Clays
Geelong Sporting Clays is a Sporting Clays Australia club that runs the sporting clays at Little River Game Ranch, 444 Moretons Road, Balliang East, north of Geelong. The ground is shared with the Geelong Clay Target Club, Geelong Field & Game and the Hellenic Gun Club.
Shoot days
The main event is a 100-target sporting clays competition on a Saturday most months, usually the second Saturday in 2026. The ground operator lists practice on Fridays; check with the club before you go.
The ground hosted the SCA English Sporting Nationals on 19–20 October 2024 and the 27th VSCA State Sporting Clays Championship in August 2023. It also hosts VSCA state selection shoots, and hosted the SCA Ladies & Juniors Training Camp in June 2026. English Sporting and occasional Old Style FITASC events appear on the calendar alongside the monthly shoots.
In 2024 the council placed space and time restrictions on the rented property after a complaint, and the club could not host that year's SCA Sporting Nationals.
