About Darwin Pistol Club

Darwin Pistol Club (DPC) shoots at the Micket Creek Shooting Complex, 240 Brandt Road, Micket Creek. It describes itself as the largest pistol club in Darwin, and it is a non-profit club open to women, juniors and seniors. The club is affiliated with Pistol Australia and IPSC Australia.

DPC was founded in 1965 behind the Showgrounds on Shean Road, Berrimah. In 1996 it moved to Micket Creek when the old site was taken for Tiger Brennan Drive. The club's facilities include 13 outdoor ranges, a 200m metallic silhouette range, a 10-bay air-conditioned indoor air pistol hall, and a clubhouse with kitchen and licensed bar. The club has hosted the Pistol Australia Action Pistol Nationals four times, most recently in 2023.

Shoot days

Club competitions run every Saturday and Sunday morning.

Joining

New shooters without an H licence come in through the club's scheduled Open Days, held several times a year. A short Sunday interview has to be booked at least three weeks ahead, and photo ID and an admin fee are required. Use the enquiry button on this page.
