Coffs Harbour Rifle Club is a thriving and inclusive shooting club located on the beautiful Coffs Coast in New South Wales. With over 230 active members and a rich history dating back several decades, the club operates three well-maintained ranges across two separate sites — one in Howard Street (Coffs Harbour) and the other in Dairyville.

The club caters to a wide variety of shooting disciplines, making it a popular destination for both new shooters and experienced competitors. These disciplines include Fullbore Rifle, F-Class, Service Rifle, Field Class (centrefire and rimfire), NRL22, and Pistol shooting. Each discipline is supported by regular matches and training sessions, with a strong focus on safety, education, and community.

The Howard Street range is used primarily for rimfire (.22LR) rifle shooting and pistol events, and is open every Wednesday night. This range is particularly well suited to new shooters and those working towards their Firearms Licence, with monthly Safety Training Courses run on-site.

The club’s Dairyville range, located roughly 6 km along Dry Creek Road (off Upper Orara Road), is a purpose-built facility for long-range and centrefire disciplines. It hosts regular weekend events for F-Class, Fullbore, Field Class, and Service Rifle competitions, as well as monthly NRL22 matches using .22LR rifles and steel targets.

Coffs Harbour Rifle Club is affiliated with the New South Wales Rifle Association and NSW Shooting Association Ltd, offering members access to insurance, training, and open competition events across the state. The club is proudly one of the few in Australia to own its range facilities outright, giving it long-term security and flexibility to invest in infrastructure and improvements.

Whether you’re just getting started in the sport, looking to participate in organised competitions, or simply enjoy spending time at the range, Coffs Harbour Rifle Club welcomes shooters of all levels. The club provides a safe, friendly, and well-governed environment with a strong sense of camaraderie and a shared passion for the sport of shooting.
